Implementation document summary
Students in regular classes who experience difficulties in basic areas of learning and behaviour, regardless of the cause are supported through Learning and Support resources available in their local school. Students do not need a formal disability diagnosis to access support through these resources. It includes support for students with significant learning difficulties, mild intellectual disability, language disorder or delay and behaviour needs. Students with autism spectrum disorders or mental health disorders who have lower level needs are also supported through these school based resources.
All staff employed in Public Schools NSW, in both school and non-school based positions. It also applies to students who attend public schools and has implications for each school community.
