FBPS NAIDOC Ceremony - Didge Boys

Avatar

Last updated 28 June 2011, 11:00 AM

For the NAIDOC ceremony this year our Didge boys performed several times as the special guests entered and as the flags were presented.

In the lead-up, local AECG president, Des Barton, was able to come out to and teach the boys about the significance of the paint and how to dress in the lap-laps. Des and Matt (an Aboriginal community worker) helped painted the boys for the performance.

Dear Mr. Payne and Didg Group you look fabulous! Didgeridoos are very difficult to play.

Very impressive Fennell Bay. You should all be very proud of yourselves to perform at such a special occasion. I'll be sharing this with my class for our NAIDOC celebrations at the beginning of term 3. MissH Punchbowl PS
